True Success Part 6

Dealing with Setbacks. This is an integral part of the walk to success. True maturity comes with the knowledge that the real world is not perfect but hard and deadly. True success is the skill of picking yourself up after a failure.

An apocryphal story about the man Alva Edison who perfected the lightbulb, recorded a thousands attempt to find the perfect filament that would glow and be long lasting. Had he given up at attempt 999 we might all be still living with a few explosions everytime we pull the switch and to have to buy a new bulb every 3 hours.

The idea of success is borne out by sheer disregard of negative circumstances. In fact the greatest success always triumphed over adversity, making success taste all the more sweeter. A steady persevering attitude will crack any thing just like a continual drip of water can wear out all the strongest rocks.

Rejoice not over me mine enemy. For when I fall I shall yet arise. When I sit in darkness.... the Lord shall be light unto me.

True Success Part 5

Iron will, Master of Self control... that doesnt often describe me does it ?

Today I totally blew it... I got tired of waiting 10 minutes at a stuck traffic light, with an impatient truck behind me. I ran red lights, threw a tantrum, cursed loudly and then went to church and led worship to the Lord with a sweet smile. (Ok... i really blew it baaaad !!!)

The number one problem with myself is that I am way out of control. I think too little and say too much, drink too much, eat too much. Engage in so little exercise and self discipline. How did it get this way ?

Where do I start seizing control. The longest journey begins with the single step.

What are my goals ? What am I trying to achieve.
The secret to self control ? I have to begin by controlling what I say. It is what I say that communicates who I am. "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." My tongue is in rapid fire automatic mode. Whatever ammunition is inside will come out. America and its cowboys may have wiped Native Indians of the map but there is a lil' Red Indian shooting out Huge flaming arrows inside of Uncle Sam.

All emotional baggage to be scanned before being checked into the Self control airlines. Whats in my heart ? Its a pit of vipers, desparately unclean, amazingly deceptive (how many times did I make a fool of myself today?) and all the mess inside is going to explode and hit the fan one day or the other. 

No man can tame the tongue. Only the Lord can change the heart. Ask for a heart transplant every day... Only the one who overcomes his self will ever experience true success.

God says ... the Ox knows his master, and so does the Ass. But do you ?

Whether I am strong as an Ox, or foolish as an Ass... how well do I know my Master. The search of all religions is based in the simple question, "Is there a God ? and if so what are we to him ?"

Do I really know my God, or just know about Him. Is he my Master or Just a Mystery?
Key to success not in my Wisdom or Strength, but in knowing the Lord.

The saddest ever words in the bible,Get away from me... I never knew you...But Lord see our success... in thy name we did all these wonderful works.
The only way you can get to know someone is to spend time with them. How much time have I spent with the one I want to spend eternity with?

In closing a quote from a famous magician and wise man in the bible.
"The people that know their God shall be strong and do great exploits."

True Success Part 4

The role of a priest lies in his ability to successfully mediate between God and Man.
This is my true role and the second calling. The higher calling awaits.

My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.
I also reject you as my priests because you have rejected knowledge.
I also will ignore your children because you have ignored the law of your God,

This lack of knowledge and ignorance is not accidental but deliberate.
The curse follows.

Ignorance of laws in the physical world may mean certain death, the spiritual world has laws which are completely inviolable without guaranteed consequences. Each successful person in this world follow the laws of God regardless of whether they know them directly or just by following their conscience.

When studying my bible I must make a conscious effort to remove my ignorance and to gain knowledge. Otherwise I have lost the power to bless my children and the world around me.

Success Part 3/9

The next secret of success is the power of overcoming. Its called virtue.

One of the blunders Ive constantly made is to try and fight to overcome. Mother Teresa said that she refused to go to an anti-war rally. "Show me a peace rally, and I'll go." By fighting stuff I have given all my focus to it and it just drains me of power. This doesnt work. The evil drinks in the attention and grows more powerful.

"Be not overcome by evil. But overcome evil with good." Jesus was constantly attacked by his religious peers. They forbade him to do miracles on the Sabbath as he was a "Healer" and "Healing" was work.

Jesus countered by saying "Im being Good, its lawful to be Good even on the Sabbath."
The power of goodness can keep powerful gifts of healing operating through lives even when we are not aware of it. When the woman touched Jesus garments in the midst of that throng his virtue flowed out and healed her. Even Jesus was surprised.

One of the greatest power on earth is the capacity for good works. Even faith without good works is DEAD. Fight the "Good" fight of faith.

Faith in the resurrection. Today that is a key. Every where I can see the spirit of the Anti Christ. Just as Jesus prophesied. "If they tell you there he is in the desert... do not believe them. Or if they tell you there he is in the high places, do not believe them. For look and see when the Son of Man shall come in the heavens with glory every eye shall see him."

So what do I believe?

Did Jesus jump off the cross when the soldiers taunted him saying if you are the Son of God, climb off and happily substituted Judas Iscariot his friend and disciple in his place as Islam says, and go off to the Kashmir Valley with his family for retirement.

Did Jesus go to France and set up the first divine family ( as proposed by claimants to the royalty of France, yes he is divine so we can freeload a la Leonardo Da Vinci).

Did he die and was buried in Jerusalem and his disciples stole his body while a hundred soldiers slept and centurion slept on duty as the Jews said. At least they admitted his body was missing, though how they could see whether he was stolen or resurrected while they slept is a miracle in itself.

Was he buried in one of the numerous small dwarfish casket prepared for him and his family. Stories and movies will be shown with various twists and turns to suit your imagination with the barest minimum of evidence and presented as fact. This is only the beginning. Even the chosen can be deceived.

Certainly this Jesus changed the world. His body can be found everywhere and nowhere. Millions of dollars will be spent to show you that. And you will be called a fool for believing the one fact that fits all the evidence.

He is Risen from the dead.

Gods 9 point plan for a Successful life - 2/9

Yeah ... its amazingly simple. Just to recap the no.1. Make Hard work a habit.

The next logical step for me is to have faith. So what is faith.

Substance of things hoped for. Evidence of the unseen.
The only quality which I must possess to please God.

The whole Bible is one long narration of people who put their faith in God. God at different times and in various ways was pleased to put his promise to men and women.

Having faith is trusting in The God who cannot lie.
Cannot lie?? In his book. God said he withheld the results of his promise from all these men and women. Some of them even willingly chose not to accept his deliverance.
Because... they understood His Resurrection power. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the God of the living and not the dead.

These men were amazing. In my overly vivid imagination I can see them say while being torn apart by lions or whatever and telling the angel "Dont worry its only my body. Im still alive. I dont need to be delivered, Im going to have a better resurrection".

Understanding faith takes a lifetime. Having faith requires a transformation inside.
I think of all the things I practice faith is truly magical. I understand now. Jesus Christ was right.
He that believes in me. Though he were dead yet shall he live. If he is alive, he will never die.
Have faith in God and also in me. Nothing shall be impossible.
